Excellency Ngov Boreyra Continues Leading Citizens in the Implementation of the “Green Shade Campaign ”
Tboung Khmum – On the morning of July 6, 2025, His Excellency Ngov Boreyra, Secretary of State and senior representative of His Excellency Dr. Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, continued to lead government officials, citizens, and students in Chak Commune to participate in the “Green Shade” campaign by planting trees in Chak Commune, Ou Reang Ov District, Tboung Khmum Province.
In line with the environmental sector’s strategic framework, “Green Growth,” the Ministry of Environment has set goals to protect and expand green coverage by encouraging tree planting in local communities, public areas, and degraded lands to increase green canopy and carbon sequestration in Cambodia.
His Excellency Ngov Boreyra, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, stated that youth, students, teachers, and the general public of Cambodia should join together in preserving and protecting the environment, enhancing and expanding green spaces by planting more trees to help absorb carbon.
In addition, His Excellency added that the Ministry of Environment and its departments in all capitals and provinces will provide or distribute tree saplings to the public for free to encourage planting efforts.
