Cambodian Navy expels Thai oil tanker

Cambodian Navy expels Thai oil tanker that entered Cambodian waters in Preah Sihanouk province
(Preah Sihanouk): On June 27, 2025, the Cambodian Navy expelled a Thai oil tanker named Chetthanabodi 6 that entered Cambodian waters in Preah Sihanouk province. This is a strict implementation of the measures imposed by the Royal Government of Cambodia. Not only oil, the Royal Government of Cambodia will also strictly enforce the importation of Thai fruits and vegetables by sea.  It should be noted that on June 22, 2025, the Royal Government of Cambodia suspended the import of all types of fuel and gas from Thailand. Prime Minister Hun Sen emphasized that fuel distribution companies in Cambodia have the ability to import fuel and gas from other sources to meet the domestic needs of our people, not just for a month, but forever.
His Excellency Keo Rattanak, Minister of Mines and Energy, stated on June 27, 2025 that since the Royal Government’s ultimatum came into effect, there has been absolutely no permission to import oil and gas from Thailand to Cambodia, and that Cambodia has sufficient capacity to supply oil and gas for its full needs.
