Cambodian and Thai sides agreed

As a result of the meeting between myself and His Excellency Phumtham Wechayachai, Acting Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, the two Cambodian and Thai sides agreed on the following:

1. An immediate, unconditional ceasefire that will come into effect at 24:00 on 28 July 2025. This is an important step towards reducing tensions and restoring peace and security.

2. Organize an informal meeting of the military commanders (Thai side, Military Regions 1 and 2 and Cambodian side, Military Regions 4 and 5) at 07:00 on 29 July 2025 and continue to organize meetings with the military corps and military attachments, led by the ASEAN Chairman, if agreed by both sides; and

3. Organize a Cambodian-Thai General Boundary Committee (GBC) meeting on 4 August 2025, which Cambodia will host.

I would like to thank His Excellency Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for taking the initiative to facilitate the meeting and hosting it. I also thank His Excellency President Donald Trump for his support for the process of negotiating an immediate ceasefire to build peace through the United States as co-host of today’s meeting. I also thank the Chinese government for its continued support and encouragement of both sides in seeking a ceasefire and for its active participation in supporting this special meeting.
